Navigation system: Corners
The wordmark is in the top left corner, the menu in the top right, the actions in the bottom right, and a folio in the bottom left shows the page, the section and how far you have read. Hold the pointer over Products, move down the list and left into the preview, then hold it over the folio.
No bar: the four corners of the screen carry the navigation
- WhyThe content gets the whole screen, and the navigation becomes the frame of the page, like the running head and folio of a book. Each corner has one job, so it is learned in a second.
- Suited toPortfolios, campaigns and product pages with large images, where a bar would cut off the top.
- RiskThe buttons at the bottom can be overlooked, and content slides in under the corners. When the page scrolls, each corner therefore gets a paper background with a hairline.
