How Plotline is built

Each column becomes a field: dates go on the time axis, numbers become measures, and names become groups. Each field is described once with its name and its words, and the grammar stems the words of the sentence, forgives typos with trigrams and edit distance, and fills the parts of a chart: the mark, the axes, the aggregate, the color and the split.
