Navigation system: Capsule

At rest there is only the wordmark and the name of the page in a small capsule. It opens from the middle as the pointer comes closer, and while you scroll it names the section you are reading. Move the pointer slowly up toward the capsule, then scroll down the page.

A capsule that opens as the pointer reaches for it

  • WhyAs much room as possible for the content, without hiding the navigation behind a button. The opening follows the distance to the pointer, so it feels like a reaction to the hand.
  • Suited toEditorial sites, campaigns and products where the content should fill the screen.
  • RiskThe menu is not visible in the first second. Keyboard focus and search open it fully, but new visitors have to discover it.
