Zibaldone plan (P24)
Zibaldone plan is the task planner from Zibaldone, the writing app at zibaldone.page, shared by two people. The sample is a catalog team's plan, with two lists, three labels and a task that repeats every week.
Four layouts of the same tasks
The board shows the tasks by status: Backlog, Todo, In progress and Done. The list groups the open tasks by list and orders them by priority. The month places each task on its planned day and flags each deadline. The timeline draws a bar from the planned day to the deadline, with a line for today. Zibaldone's view engine picks, groups and orders the tasks for the board and the list, so every layout agrees on which tasks are open.
Quick add
Quick add reads a line the way people write it, in English or Danish. It reads a date such as tomorrow or friday, a deadline, a priority such as !2, a list with #, a label with @ and a repeat such as every monday. Each piece it reads is shown under the line before you press Enter, and the words that are left become the title.
Moving and changing tasks
Drag a card to another column to change its status. With the keyboard, Space picks the card up, the arrow keys move it, and Space puts it down. The card gets a rank between its new neighbors, so the order is the same on every screen. Select a task to change its title, status, priority, dates, list and labels, and to read its log, which has a line for every change.
Two people
Each task is stored as its fields, so when two people change different fields of the same task, both changes are kept. The plan is encrypted in the browser with a key that is only in the link, and the relay stores only the encrypted updates. A change made without a connection is sent when the connection is back.
Repeats
When a repeating task is marked as done, the next one is added with its planned day and deadline moved by the repeat. The done task no longer repeats. A weekly task planned for Monday gets its next one on the following Monday.
